Click Fraud Detection

Click Fraud Control

Ikojo’s advertising technology analyses every click and impression to determine whether they are quality clicks or artificially generated. The system will automatically identify and filter all invalid traffic in real time based on the visit patterns. To ensure the accuracy of the validation system, our traffic control team will examine all the traffic on a daily basis. Any suspicious traffic will be removed and credited back to your account.

Increasing your traffic quality

"As estimated average of 8.6% of clicks and impressions Internet advertisers are billed for are fraudulent, according to Outsell Inc. an industry research group. They estimate that click fraud is a $1.3 billion dollar problem: $800 million wasted on fraudulent clicks, and another $500 million no longer being spent on advertising." *

So what do we consider fraud or suspect traffic?

A competitor clicking on their competition is considered unethical. Although this is quite a difficult thing for anyone to do, due to the way the system works, should such incident be discovered on our network, we promise to provide refunds to the affected party and will not hesitate to make publicly available details of the offending party.

Multiple clicks from the same IP address in a very short time span with no sales/conversions which can be indicatory of software programs and techniques to trick the fraud detection systems of Ikojo i.e. manipulation of the IP address.

Unqualified traffic that may have been delivered in significant volume as a result of poor targeting by the Ikojo system. E.g. if financial advertisements were to be displayed on a site with no intention / ability to purchase anything such as a children's site, then we will happily provide a refund. Ikojo uses geo-targeting to filter out any foreign traffic that may see your advertisement.

In all cases our automated security measures will kick in to prevent such traffic from being passed through to you and is therefore an uncharged click and therefore not refundable. If it is found by our security team that such clicks have been charged, we will certainly issue refunds to you.
